[Bi-users] Bi and Accumulus unavailable March 11th-12th

Dear Bi Users,

we need to perform maintenance on Accumulus file servers as a 
prerequisite for installing the next storage expansion.


Start of downtime has been scheduled for Wednesday March 11th 09:00 CET.

End of downtime is as soon as we are done but will likely continue 
until late Thursday.


During this time Bi will be unavailable.

On Tetralith, /nobackup/rossby[18-23] will be inaccessible, jobs 
running or starting that depend on rossby* will fail. Please avoid 
starting jobs that will not finish before this maintenance window.


Storage expansion will not be taken in production at end of this 
downtime. Final testing will begin and no extra downtime will be 
needed to add new file systems at a later date.


For anyone interested, here is a short summary of what will be done:
Accumulus file servers:
- CentOS 6 -> CentOS 7
- Lustre Server 2.5.x -> 2.10.8
- Firmware updates on some servers
Bi:
- Lustre Client 2.5.42.4 -> 2.10.8
