Dear future Freja users,

All users with an account on Bi are now welcome to start migrating
your work to the replacement cluster Freja.

As you know Bi will be shut down later this spring and be replaced
with the new cluster Freja. The installation and testing of Freja has
now reached the stage where we would like everyone to start working on
migrating any and all work there.

To make this transition as easy as possible, you can log in to
freja.nsc.liu.se with the same password and/or ssh key you are
currently using on Bi. You have the same home directory and nobackup
filesystems. So nothing needs to be copied to Freja, but if you have
any cluster-specific initialization in your sbatch files or .bashrc
those needs to be handled.

If you work from outside pre-approved networks and therefore need two
factor authentication you need to request a new separate one for freja
here: https://nim.nsc.liu.se/express/request_totp/freja/

A Bi -> Freja migration guide is available at
https://www.nsc.liu.se/support/systems/freja-migration/ , which also
includes known problems.

The regular getting started guide is available here:
https://www.nsc.liu.se/support/systems/freja-getting-started/

Bi will continue to run with all nodes available until the 31st of
March and will then run with fewer and fewer nodes available until the
20th of April when no Bi nodes will be available unless you have got
an exception. If you foresee problems migrating your work within this
time-limit, please talk to your user representative.

Please don't hesitate to send a mail to smhi-support at nsc.liu.se if you
have questions, problems or requests for missing software.

Welcome to Freja!
