/nobackup/rossby9 is now available again on Tornado and Dunder.
/nobackup/smhid4 is available again on Dunder.

1. All data has been restored onto freshly formatted lustre filesystems,
and from what we can see there has not been any data corruption for the
   users.

2. The downtime has been too long. We apologize for this - but the matter
of fact is that handling this large amount of data takes a lot of time,
and we want to, as far as possible, be sure that the data integrity is
left intact. There has been a couple of problems along the road though
that have delayed the availability of the filesystems further: software
bugs in tape managment software, bugs in lustre tools and bugs in
storage managment software and also additional hardware failures. The
bugs will be reported upwards to the appropriate vendors.

3. We are now scheduling upgrades of all the lustre clients (beginning on
Dunder). We will later on upgrade the lustre clients on Tornado and the
lustre servers (which affects all lustre filesystems on Tornado and
Dunder) - more information on this later.

4. For those of you using lustresetstriped, lustresetnotstriped and
lustregetstriped. All directories and files have been reset to not
striped (not striped has always been the default unless explicitly
changed by you). If you need help making files or directories striped
again, feel free to contact smhi-support at nsc.liu.se.
