[Gimle-users] /nobackup/rossbytemp down

This concerns users of the temporary filesystem /nobackup/rossbytemp
on Gimle only.


We've had problems with the temporary fileserver dtemp, serving
/nobackup/rossbytemp, hanging after a few days of operation. Our
hardware change last Monday did not remove the problem.

To make matters worse, the server refuses to reboot correctly now
after the latest hang. Bad, bad server.

The current plan is to reinstall the OS in a different manner and get
the server working again as soon as we're at work again, on Wednesday
Jan 7.
