[Matter-users] File system problem, login node restart today

Dear Kappa and Matter users,

A recent version of GPFS (3.5.0-20) which was put to production on Kappa and Matter systems since 2014-09-19 introduced a filesystem bug.

We had a proper fix from IBM yesterday and have decided to put it into production as soon as possible.
Hence, Kappa login nodes will be unavailable from 12:00pm today while Matter login nodes from 16:00pm onwards.
The downtime will be around 30 minutes for each login nodes.

During maintenance all users will be forced to log out. ThinLinc sessions and interactive jobs will be killed.
So, you may want to save your important work before that. Running and queued normal batch jobs will not be affected though.
