[Monolith-users] Permanent shut down of Monolith March 26, 2008

Dear Monolith user,

The operation of the NSC system Monolith will be permanently discontinued on
March 26, 2008.

We therefore urge you to migrate your operations, applications and data to other
systems well in advance of March 26, 2008.

The main reasons are that the effort to keep Monolith in good shape, and
operational costs are becoming to high compared to its performance, and that the
power and cooling capacity in the computer room are needed for new systems being
installed.
