[Nebula-users] Transfer of Nebulas filesystems

Dear Nebula users,

we have begun the process of transferring Nebulas parallel filesystems
(/home, /software, and /nobackup/forsk) and also Stratus' parallel
filesystems (including /nobackup/prod1 and /nobackup/prod2 available
read-only from Nebula) to new storage hardware.

The process will take several days.  It should not be noticable by you,
other than that the filesystems will grow in size, and that the I/O
performance may be slightly reduced during the process.

For periods of time, the 'df' command will be inaccurate and show a too
large Size or a too small Usage for the filesystems.

Even though the transfer should be transparent, the risk of problems is
not zero.  If you notice problems regarding I/O or a problematic
performance decrease on Nebula, the transfer could be responsible.  In
that case, contact <smhi-support at nsc.liu.se> with a description of the
problem.
