[Neolith-users] Final reminder: Neolith is being retired

Dear Neolith user,

This is the last reminder of the fact that Neolith is being retired on
January 1st. If you have read and acted on the previous information we
have sent out, you can stop reading now.


As you might know, Neolith is being retired. We have recently sent out
emails to all users with active projects on Neolith, telling them how
to move to the replacement system Triolith.

If you have an active project on Neolith (i.e if you can run batch
jobs), and have not received any information from us regarding the
move, please contact support at nsc.liu.se immediately.

Since most users have now moved their jobs from Neolith (and we need
the power for other systems), we have reduced the size of the system
to just 36 compute nodes.

On January 1st, 2013, all Neolith accounts will be closed, and the
remaining compute nodes and the login node powered off. After this
date, no further access to Neolith is possible!

Files that you have stored on Neolith (in /home and /nobackup/global)
will still be accessible from Kappa, Matter and Triolith.

If you have no account on Kappa, Matter or Triolith, you will lose
access to your Neolith files on January 1st, and the files may
eventually be deleted! It is important that you copy all files that
you want to keep from Neolith before January 1st. If you need help
with this, please contact support at nsc.liu.se.

If you have an account on Kappa, Matter or Triolith, you do not need
to move or copy your files, they will continue to be available.
