Hi Storage users,

A maintenance level upgrade of the TSM-server will be scheduled for next
week, currently:  /* Wednesday at 13.00-15.00 */


User impact

The TSM-server serves as the tape-handler for the migftp disk-server
which means that the retrieval of data stored on tape will be prevented
during this time. Operations storing new data or retrieving data cached
on disk will not be affected.

NOTE:
This is *not* the stop previously mentioned in message "FTP-server
frontend down - follow-up".


Background
- ----------
Several fixed APARs (IBM software issues) that solves some minor
glitches we have seen during the first year of operation will be
resolved thanks to this. Version upgrade is from 5.3.2 -> 5.3.4.
