[Storage-users] Service stop for migftp disk-server (Feb-08)

Hi Storage users,

A quite extensive maintenance upgrade of the migftp disk-server will
performed tomorrow (thursday 2008-02-07) at 17.00.

Sorry for the short notice, but this has been concluded to be the only way
forward to solve the problems with the filesystems residing on the server.

* Several operating system patches will be put on the system.

* Extensive filesystem checking of all filesystem will be performed.

* Eventually some filesystems must be recreated. This will *take some
  time*, and could affect the availabilty of the whole machine during
  friday and perhaps saturday.

We have concluded that there is no risk for dataloss performing this
procedure, only the availabilty of the server is at risk.

Contact nsc-support if you have any outstanding transfers (in or out) which
must be peformed before the end of this week.
