[Tornado-users] Scheduled downtime for the rossby11 filesystem on Tornado

Dear Tornado users,

Due to (likely) a flakey hardware component in the server housing the
/nobackup/rossby11 filesystem, there will be have to be maintenance work
done on the server on Tuesday next week (18/8) at 08:00. 

This means that you should not have any jobs running that writes to that
filesystem when the server is taken down for TLC, as they will then fail at
the time of takedown. Also you should make sure that you have put files
from that filesystem you intend to work on in another location.

Since there is an element of debugging the potential sources of the problem
and possibly obtaining spare parts, it is difficult to estimate the time
that the filesystem will be offline, it may range from a couple of hours to
some days. In either case I suggest you prepare for a longer outage and
move any files you need to other places.
