[Triolith-users] Planned downtime 2014-04-18 due to graphics card problems.

Dear Triolith users,

On Tuesday 2014-04-18 starting at 15:00 the first login server of
Triolith (triolith1.nsc.liu.se) will have downtime due to problems with
its graphics card.

The second login server will not be affected so please use
triolith2.nsc.liu.se if you need to work during this time.

Running or queued jobs will not be affected by this downtime.


Currently the NVIDIA graphics card in triolith1 is not working. Trying
to run hardware accelerated OpenGL applications in ThinLinc fails with
an error message.

If you encounter this problem it most likely means that your current
ThinLinc session is on triolith1. To work around the problem you can end
your current session (Applications Menu => Log Out) and then
reconnect. When you reconnect your new session will be created on
triolith2 where OpenGL is working normally.
