Dear Vagn users,

After a few changes, additions and amendments to the rescue plan deviced by
the filesystem vendor we have now been able to restore /nobackup/vagn1 to a
state where we are in a good position to judge the extent of the damage.
This assessment is planned for tomorrow, after which the filessystem will
be rebuilt and data will be sync'ed back from the temporary storage. This
should be finished by friday.

In short we are on schedule to be back in full production by next monday
after adding another 29 TB (doubling storage space) from the the temporary
storage. Lists of lost files, damaged files and files best viewed with
some suspicion will presented then. Naturally these lists only contain
files we know should be included and may not tell the whole truth of which
files were affected.

In case someone missed it, as mentioned in a separate notice last week, the
/home directory of Vagn is back in normal production status.
