[Vagnekman-users] Maintenance break on Ekman Sep 7, 2011

Dear Users,

as mentioned in a flashnews earlier today we need to update the file system 
servers very soon due to failures in the Lustre software. We will use this 
break also to update the compute nodes from CentOS 5.5 to CentOS 5.7.

The maintenance is planned for

     Wednesday, September 7, 2011, 06:00 - 16:00


Attention: As desired from several users after previous operation breaks I 
will not define the break in the batch system this time. The advantage is 
that the system can be used if wanted without changes in the submission 
behaviour until to the maintenance time when all jobs will be terminated. 
This was the desired behaviour because the long-running applications have 
restart features.

(Please let me know if one of the groups feels incomfortable with this 
procedure).
