[SGI3k-users] SGI3K upgrade effects

Dear SGI3K user,
the recent upgrade of the SGI3K involved operating system as well as
compiler upgrades.

Since the upgrade, we have had  reports from a few users where they
encountered strange behavior with old (pre upgrade) binaries. Binaries
that used to work now crash instead. These problems have all been resolved
by doing a complete recompile of the application (all object files as well as archives ).
The reason for the crash seems to be incompatible (dynamic) libraries between
the different operating system as well as in the compiler versions.

So, if you encounter strange crashes of your application, please do a complete recompile
before contacting support at nsc.liu.se
