A new MARS client is available at Ekman
(http://www.nsc.liu.se/systems/mars/)

Note: 

1. The appropriate module for this is:

   mars/1.0.515

2. You must explicitly set the username when accessing MARS from
   ekman. This can be done in either of the following two ways:

   2.1. (Recommended) Set the environment variable MARS_USER to the
        user name you've been given for MARS (usually your regular
        username at NSC resources). This can preferrably be done in
        ~/.mars/config. Example:

        $ cat ~/.mars/config
        MARS_USER=your_username

   or:

   2.2. use the argument --ssh-user with MARS: 
      mars --ssh-user=your_username
